Recently, the Changzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau officially released the “Public Notice on Proposed Projects for the 2025 Changzhou Science and Technology Plan (Industrial Innovation Science and Technology Support Special Program).” Changzhou Yatong CNC Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yatong CNC”) has been selected for the proposed project list of this special program. This recognition stems from the company's technological expertise and industrialization potential in the field of five-axis CNC technology. Yatong CNC successfully navigated multiple rounds of rigorous evaluations, including preliminary project applications, formal reviews, expert assessments, and final approval by the Bureau's Party Leadership Group (enlarged meeting). The company will receive key support from municipal-level science and technology special funds. This selection not only represents authoritative recognition of Yatong CNC's innovation capabilities by government authorities but also signifies a crucial step toward the industrialization of the company's core technologies.
Established in 2016 as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Jiangsu Provincial Private Technology-Based Enterprise, Yatong CNC has focused on the applied science of CNC machine tools since its inception. With the core mission of “breaking through bottlenecks in high-end CNC technology,” the company has dedicated itself to the R&D of five-axis CNC systems and servo drives, computer software development, and the manufacturing of five-axis CNC tool grinders. It also provides comprehensive planning and design services for smart factories and flexible production lines within digital factories. After nearly a decade of technological breakthroughs, the company has established a comprehensive technology system spanning “core components – complete equipment – integrated solutions.” It has accumulated over 40 national patents, including multiple invention patents, grinding software patents, and integrated circuit patents, solidifying its leading position in the industry.
The project selected for this special initiative by Yatong CNC closely aligns with its core strengths, focusing on the demand for “high precision, high flexibility, and high stability” in the high-end equipment manufacturing sector. This initiative leverages the company's proprietary five-axis five-linkage CNC system and servo drive technology (capable of supporting up to nine axes with long-term optimization ensuring stable, precise operation) alongside specialized tool grinding process software (offering high programming flexibility to accommodate customized demands across multiple industries). It aims to further overcome efficiency bottlenecks and precision limitations in complex tool machining using five-axis CNC tool grinders. Upon project implementation, this initiative will establish a critical chain linking “core technology R&D – pilot verification – mass production application.” It is projected to enhance production capacity and optimize costs for high-end five-axis CNC tool grinders, serving advanced manufacturing sectors such as automotive components, aerospace, and precision molds. This effort will provide essential equipment support for upgrading the high-end equipment industry within Changzhou's “1028” modern industrial system.
“Receiving municipal-level industrial innovation and technology support funding affirms Yatong CNC's decade-long dedication to CNC technology and motivates us to advance ‘transforming technological achievements into industrial value,’” The company's representative stated that YATONG CNC will strictly adhere to the program requirements in advancing the project. On one hand, it will continue to increase R&D investment and deepen collaborative innovation with upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain to further iterate its five-axis CNC system and grinding process software. On the other hand, leveraging its R&D and production base in Zhonglou District, Changzhou, the company will accelerate the commercialization of project outcomes, explore localized cooperation models with core suppliers, and contribute to enhancing the regional high-end equipment industrial chain and supply chain.
Since its inception, Yatong CNC has consistently adhered to the development philosophy of “driving industrial upgrading through technological innovation.” The company has evolved from breaking through single-component technologies to providing comprehensive solutions, and from securing individual patents to building a patent portfolio, gradually emerging as a significant innovative force in the five-axis CNC field within the Yangtze River Delta region. This selection for the municipal-level science and technology special project marks a new starting point for the company's development. Moving forward, Yatong CNC will continue to focus on high-end CNC technology as its core, striving to be a pioneer in specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative development. The company will contribute more corporate strength to help Changzhou build a nationally leading industrial innovation hub and promote the high-quality development of high-end manufacturing.
